What to write about
- Samples and schema questions — if the free sample (California, Texas, Washington) does not answer a format question, ask and a straight answer comes back.
- Redistribution, OEM, and VAR licensing — describe the product and how the data would be used. Those rights are agreed in writing; no price is printed for them.
- A second product or organization — the standard license covers one named product or one organization’s internal work; write before extending use.
- Corrections — if a row looks wrong, send the jurisdiction, the rule, and the source you are reading. A confirmed correction is re-issued to every licensee of record.
- Feed questions — alerts are sent at signing when a law changes, with a quarterly re-verification stamp; write if an alert seems missing.
What to expect
Messages are answered by a person, in plain language, in the order they arrive. Expect a reply within a few business days; no faster promise is made, and none is implied by a purchase. For anything urgent about a specific law, the cited statute and a licensed attorney are the right sources — these tables are reference data, not legal advice.
